​Start a rewarding career with Five Rivers Child Care: we have an exciting opportunity for a Supervising Social Worker to join our team at our Bromsgrove, part of our midlands and north team.  You will be working with an experienced team and in a culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible.​

​As a Supervising Social Worker, your day will be varied and interesting. You will be able to follow a flexible structure whilst supporting our foster carers, holding realistic caseloads and be able to provide high level of supervision, monitoring, and intervention of this,

You will be working within a Trauma informed practice model where we can support and follow a therapeutic practice.

You will have the opportunity to complete Form F Assessments, be part of our Children & Young people’s participation and strategy events and be part of our out of hours service where you will support our foster carers on a rota basis.

Our Team at Bromsgrove

We are a friendly team of 7, and we’re looking for a new supervising social worker to join our family. We work from a spacious, well-maintained office in Bromsgrove and our service covers the West midlands and the surrounding areas in line with our growth and development strategy. Our service is rated GOOD by Ofsted. In the past 12 months we have seen a big growth in our team, and we are excited at the prospect of reaching out to more children in need of warm loving homes. We are keen to recruit people with the same ambition and passion.  Our team benefits from local knowledge and promotes a sense of ‘family’ among our carers. Equality and collaboration are important, so we regularly meet with carers to hear their views on our service


​Our full-time hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 9am -17:00pm and Fridays 9am – 16:30pm

You will be expected to be in our office as a minimum of 1 day per week

The role is full time over 5 days per week, however if you would like the opportunity for part time or compressed hours, we would be happy to speak to you about this.
